"HI-FI SEOUL” New York Session with Kompakt Records powered by Salomon
Hi-Fi Seoul is a collaborative project connecting Seoul and New York through music, space, and design.
Founded in Seoul, Kompakt Record Bar (KRB) has built a community around DJ and vinyl culture under its long-standing philosophy, "The World is Invited." This New York session brings KRB together with TAKOUT and LICHEN, creating a platform where music, furniture, and design come together as a shared cultural experience.
Based in the Bronx and Fort Lee, New Jersey, TAKOUT connects KRB with New York's creative community through its deep roots in contemporary street culture. LICHEN, a design studio specializing in furniture and spatial design, transforms the venue into an environment where music and space naturally interact.
Throughout the project, KRB's curated music, products, and objects are presented alongside LICHEN's furniture, creating an immersive setting that encourages conversation, discovery, and connection.
Visitors also had the opportunity to explore KRB's products, experience the launch of an exclusive event T-shirt, and meet the community that has shaped this collaboration.
It was a gathering where local communities from Seoul and New York came together through a shared appreciation for music, design, and culture.
