Archive — A conference about the preservation of design
Standards Manual is an independent publishing imprint focused on the preservation of graphic design history. Since 2014, we've released 15 titles with this mission in mind, covering subjects from Federal design systems and corporate identities, to analog communication technologies and heated map debates.
From this work, the idea was hatched to host a conference around the archival practices of design—graphic, industrial, typographic, academic, and beyond.
Archive will be a day of presentations and insights into various methods of preserving, showcasing, and bringing forward archival material into a contemporary context.
