FF&E: Fragrance, Fixtures, & Equipment - Brooklyn NY

'Fragrance, Fixtures, & Equipment' is an exploration of spatial symbiosis between fragrance and homewares by FRAGILE GLASS & Lichen NYC. 

After 5 years of working cohabitation with Fragile Glass at the incubator Lichen, we were presented with the unique opportunity to evolve our current retail experience. The 109 Montrose space itself is located a few yards from our first location at 131 Manhattan Ave, the same place Ed, Jared and Eric met and 1st exchanged conversation and thought, back in 2018.  

East Williamsburg has changed drastically since then, though some of it remains unchanged.

We aim to honor the history we grew from as we reach for new ways to navigate the saturation of "Product" in the current marketplace with a more "Equipment" mindset.

How can we do that? We're going to exercise empathy, intentionality and a healthy amount of trial & error throughout our 3 year lease. - These tenements are working at the 564 HQ, god-willing it works here.

FF&E commonly stands for Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment within the architecture and interior design industry - and refers to non-permanent, tangible items that equip a commercial or residential space, such as desks, lighting, appliances, carpeting, and decorative items. These elements are distinct from the building's permanent structure and contribute significantly to a space's functionality, aesthetics, and overall atmosphere. FF&E is a critical component in project planning, budgeting, and the logistics of interior design and construction for businesses like restaurants, hotels, and retail stores.
