This free screening pairs two politically grounded documentaries that highlight grassroots resistance in Latinx and Caribbean contexts. Comunas: edificando otro poder (Marco Salustro, 2019) offers on-the-ground interviews with Venezuelans involved in popular movements.

¡Pa'lante Siempre Pa'lante! (Iris Morales, 1996) traces the rise, philosophy, and enduring legacy of the Young Lords through interviews, archival footage, and music, charting their fight for Puerto Rican self-determination from Chicago to New York.
